Let’s take the artifice away.
Tomorrow’s dreams led to today.
And we’ve been telling you
we’re not okay
almost every single day
for so long
the words have lost their sway.

Are you hearing this tonight?
Let the light fade just a little at a time
And so we stand alone and face the night.
Haven’t we told you that we’re not alright?

Let’s take the artifice away
and face the mess that we have made
