Here in Wales (a nation of the UK) the main worry is flooding. Fires are another worry, because some 'geniuses' see it as a rite of passage to light mountain/grass fires. A huge worry is that the coal tips left on the mountains above many towns are structurally unsafe, and the UK government refuses to pay for their removal, making the chance of landslips in the future both high and terrifying.
On the plus side, I'm the first generation of my family to go my entire life with an inside toilet, and actual toilet paper instead of newspaper - so while I am eternally grateful for the modern conveniances of indoor plumbing, I know that life is survivable without it. My parents went through fuel and power shortages in the 70s, my grandparents grew up with rationing due to WW2 - I'm not saying it's easy (not at all,) I'm just saying that somehow, some way, humanity muddles its way through. As scary as it is for individuals, where there's life there's hope, and where there's hope there's life. <3
