I always think you should read more than you write, and think more than you read.

I get that spending all of your time consuming is counter-productive if you want to create, and consuming without thought isn't ideal in most situations, but if you're not stoking the fire, it'll burn out pretty quick!

...Plus, as writers we all kind of need readers, after all! Lol.
