...I literally posted about how writing is 'sacred' (in as much as anything can be,) to me yesterday, so I'd be hypocritical to agree with you. If you can't romanticise writing, you can't romanticise anything - and that'd be a pretty boring world ;)

That said... I'm always self-conscious writing stuff like that: it's raw and it's hard and it feels very vulnerable, and that's why I think it's important to write it. Whereas some people are... um... self-conscious they're not. I would say that even 'self-aware' would be a long shot for them (lol.)
