Thoughts on episode 1 of Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight.

Moon Knight episode 1…

Wow.

Warning: this post briefly discusses mental health problems and ritualistic self-harm.

There’s a non-SPOILER section to start, and a brief SPOILER section at the end, which will be clearly marked.

I love the way this episode captured the sweet spot between the batpoop side of Moon Knight, and the dark, gritty, side of Moon Knight.

Like, it felt like we got the balance right in this episode, and I hope it continues in subsequent episodes.

(Because, as I’ve mentioned before, I freaking love both aspects of Moon Knight!)

I’m also loving the horror elements that we saw in the trailers etc. — so awesome.

I do need someone to hug Steven Grant. So badly.

His poor little face!

He’s just this adorkable sweet nerd whose entire world is imploding right now — someone hug him dammit!!!!

Also, Oscar Isaac’s British (English) accent is really good.
