I think some of the worst is when someone you thought was pretty cool posts hate on an LGBTQ+ story. Which has happened on Medium, actually.

Obviously, nothing beats the hell-hole that was Twitter in 2016, even Twitter/X in 2023 is pretty gentle in comparison to that, but there's something about when hate comes from people you have liked and enjoyed interacting with that hurts that little bit extra *sigh*
