My Highest-Earning Story In October 2022
October 2022 wasn’t the highest-earning month here on Medium — even for me, and I’ve never passed $8.00.
Still, I got over $5.00!
AND because the UK economy tanked, I actually got paid slightly more than I usually do, when the money converted from dollars to pounds (£). The economy tanking sucks, obviously, but small mercies, and all that.
But the thing that’s really got a smile on my face this month on Medium is that my highest-earning story is my very own piece of short fiction, called ‘Girl, Alone’:
…Girl, Alone earned me over $1.00 all on its lonesome!
If you’re interested, this is a slightly weird sci-fi/dystopia-ish short story about a woman living in isolation, in a world where you can only go outside on certain days, and the environment has basically collapsed…
