My Response To A Hate Comment

I’m a fan of the block button — I think anyone should use it whenever they want, and that they don’t have to justify their reasons.

It’s what works for you.

But… I do like having the ability to meet hate with calm(ish) rebuttal.

So here, for the record, is my response to a hate comment left on my ‘Why Do You Hate Me?’ post — which I couldn’t leave as a reply to the original commenter, because they blocked me.

And that’s OK — they don’t owe me anything. But I owe myself the chance to be heard.

As hate comments go, this one wasn’t that bad — more a childish tantrum than anything. Not that I should have to have a mental ranking of trolls, but this is the world we live in.

But I’m pretty proud of the comment I wrote — and was unable to post —…
