Warning: war imagery

Stuck my head above the parapet
(Guess I haven’t learned my lesson yet)

They said I was brave
to speak so frankly
but frankly
I’ve never felt it

But when you’re bruised
and confused
what’s one more bullet
in your helmet?

A drop of water and the reflection of a rainbow flag
