Black-and-white photo of a woman holding some sort of orb or crystal ball in front of her face — it seemed fairly typical for a self-care post, but unique and artistic enough that I don’t get bored looking at it.

A few simple reminders, for whoever needs them, about those tricksy social expectations:

  • You don’t have to be what anyone else wants you to be
  • You don’t have to prove your worth
  • Social expectations suck
  • Your life doesn’t have to look a specific way
  • Your path doesn’t have to be like everyone else’s
