I take the view that if you're outside a marginalisation (and sometimes if you're a part of it,) you should listen to everyone within that marginalisation - even (maybe especially) if those opinions disagree with each other, and disagree with you. It's easy to listen to people we agree with, after all.

It's only by hearing everyone that we'll realise that there's no 'one way' to be Queer or a PoC or disabled.

That's by no means saying that we should ignore the 5 people who say that something is racist in favour of the 1 person who says that that thing isn't racist - it means hearing out all 6 of those people. It's not easy, because it means there's no easy answer. And, like I said, it's easy to listen to people we agree with - it's much more difficult to listen to people whose views differ from ours, or differ from what we expect them to be.
