Warning: this post discusses the Holocaust, Nazis, and related topics.

The Final Account is a brilliant documentary film from the late Luke Holland, a descendant of Holocaust survivors.

It’s mostly comprised of interviews with everyday people who were involved with the Nazi regime.

This includes children who were part of the Hitler Youth —as every child in Germany was expected to be.

Now, though, they are elderly — sometimes frail.

They, alongside the other interviewees, stand as a last living link to how the Holocaust happened — how a nation was conditioned to stand by as millions were murdered.
