Hawkeye episode 3 time! Woo!

(There’s a SPOILER section, clearly marked, at the end — everything before that is SPOILER-free.)

Catch up on my thoughts on previous episodes here:

I loved this episode So. Much.!

The introduction of a complex villain, the oblivious dude-bro-ness of the tracksuit mafia, the way the (approximated) experiences of hearing difficulties/deafness was conveyed to us as viewers — argh! Love it.

Clint… how did you come up with some of these trick arrows?

Because they’re awesome — don’t get me wrong.

But they are randomly specific, and I would love a montage of the circumstances that led to you creating these particular arrows 😅

Also, if you play Father Christmas by The Kinks in a TV show, Marvel, I will love you forever.

One of my faves — right there.

(Not sure what that says about me, but… there we go! Normal was never gonna work with me around.)

Kate and Clint are so alike, it’s totally hilarious.

I love these two slightly-grumpy goofballs!

I also love the situations they get themselves in together, which I’ll let you all see for yourselves — and Clint’s entire put-upon, but also slightly disaster-area, big-brother/father-figure deal that he’s got going on.

The way that this episode tries to depict the experiences of deaf and hearing-impaired/hard-of-hearing people with the use of sound — and lack thereof — is, imho…
