The way I understand it, there's some crossover area with Gender Non-Conformity (a broad term that just means someone doesn't totally conform with expected gender roles - I sometimes ID as GNC,) or Gender Diversity, and being Transgender.
But honestly it's *very* dependant on the individual.
Some Drag Queens are Trans, for example, but many aren't - that doesn't mean you get to call them 'he' while they're wearing dresses, unless that particular person says it's OK. It's about respect, y'know?
The whole attitude sounds about 10-20 years out of date, tbh. And totally in-keeping with people who ignore the A-spectrum, sadly.
