This! If I could afford to 'just' write for free, I would.

I don’t know about you, but I find this comment both out of touch and insulting. Many of us who are not retired or living in large houses do in fact choose carefully how we invest our time, and many of us write for money.

This! If I could afford to 'just' write for free, I would. But I need to try and make things pay when and where I can because I'm not rich and I would like some kind of a stable future (...I realise that sounds unrealistic in the world we live in, but it shouldn't)
