Like, a gun-shot here is Big News because anyone with a legal licence would not be acting responsibly in this scenario, and would most likely get that licence revoked (and therefore be unable to legally own guns.) Anyone without a legal licence means there's illegal weaponry in the area, which is obv. not good. So any gun shot or bullet outside of a sporting environment = immediate police investigation.
