The world is watercolour corners,
soggy lines merge into each other
(too much bleed in the print)
and once it’s done, it can’t be fixed

Some amateur artist
needs to be held into account
for the things that they’ve done
and the world we’ve become

In fairness,
hands have always been
kind of tricky.
And faces are hard to get right.

Prompt from the regal Ravyne Hawke:

Write a ‘disillusioned’ poem, flash fiction story (500 words or less), or essay.
