Yeah - grief feels how grief feels, and trying to stop someone from grieving in a way that you don't like (unless it's actively harmful to themselves or others, ofc,) is not a good thing.

I originally wrote this after my Grampa passed away, as a reminder of the lessons I learned the hard way after my other grandparents passed away within 4 days of each other. No-one can prepare you for a double-funeral, it's... so surreal.

I would say that grief couldn't surprise me any more after that, but that would be a total lie - grief is a force that will do what it wants, whenever it wants, and even though that sucks, it's OK.
